During my stay as a solo traveler for three nights, I found the location to be amazing, right next to St Pierre Church. The room I stayed in had medieval windows, offering a stunning view of the chateau, which added to the charm. The breakfast was a standout, featuring delicious croissants, cheeses, and even a crepe.

A beautiful, historic hotel in the centre of the old town of Saumur. Very comfortable accommodation, charming and helpful staff. Nice interior decor. A really excellent breakfast with baked apple, crepes, fruit, yoghurt as well as bread and viennoiseries. No restaurant in the hotel but a wide range of good places to eat within a very short walking distance.

We spent 3 days in Saumur at the St. Pierre. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the owner/manager was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Continental breakfast was very good. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we had during our entire travels in France (3 weeks.) The location is very good for walking to restaurants and shopping. Saumur is a great location for local attractions, as well as being close to Chinon, Langeais, and Angers. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to France.

A really excellent and relaxing place to stay right in the centre of the town. The breakfast was a real treat and although there is no restaurant in the hotel there are plenty of good ones to choose from within about 200 yards. The staff couldn't do enough for us. This hotel is ideal for a short city break. Tea making facility didn't work in one of teh rooms but the hotel owner was happy to make tea or coffee on demand without additional charge.

The artfulness: turning an obscure hard to find but absolutely quiet and centrally located lodging into a hospitable, interestingly attractive lodging suggesting historical architecture [the spiral stone staircase, craftsmanship from local [period table] and distant places [faded figurative rugs]]. Excellent lighting that is beautiful but also good for reading. The proximity of the creperie down the lane. References to middle ages but our millenium's comfot.

The location is unbeatable, just steps away from a lively square filled with dining options. The breakfast served was really good, with fresh ingredients and local produce. Unfortunately, the WiFi connection was quite poor, only reachable when sitting by the window, and the absence of complimentary bottled water in the room was like a miss for a hotel of this caliber. Despite these issues, the charming and cozy atmosphere were nice.

Food was local and I have nothing but really really nice memories from this trip. I truly enjoyed staying in this well appointed hotel based in an elegant building. The breakfast was savoury and tasty, admirable service. The bed was extremely comfy, the room was nice styled and air conditioned. Location in the historical centre of the city was a plus.

The hotel is very conveniently located within the old part of town. Restaurants, shops, and sightseeing areas are all within the walking distance. I had a twin room which had a very warm feeling and my mother and I were able to truly relax in the room. The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel parking, though not large, was an added bonus.

This was our second visit, and on both occasions we were able to park right outside. The proprietor was very personable and most helpful. Our room was spacious, with more than a touch of luxury. The building itself is worthy of note, particularly the spiral stone staircase. An exquisite, traditional breakfast was served to the calming trickle of an indoor waterfall. We look forward to our next visit.

The location allowed us to easily explore local sites, including a fantastic visit to see the fine equestrian performances nearby. The staff was cute.
My kids wished for a little more space in the common areas.
